ARTHRITIS. Relieve the strain and stress from your neck, shoulders, middle back, lower back and hips by merely pressing a button to change your body’s position. There is no cure for arthritis, but sometimes “Comfort is the best remedy.” Imagine the comfort and the relation made possible by independent head and foot controls + a mattress with a soft “pillow” top + (optional) heat + (optional) massage! You’ll wonder what took you so long to pamper yourself!

BACK PROBLEMS. An Electropedic® Bed can do five things for your back that no other bed can do:* Lower Back. No matter how many times you toss and turn on a flat bed, you are never going to relieve the strain on your lower back. The best way to relieve this strain is by elevating your legs and bending your knees. With an Electropedic® Bed, as you elevate your legs, you can actually feel your lower back moving. You can realign the weights and pressures on your Vertabrae that may in turn be pressing on your delicate nerves, finding more comfortable and less stressful positions. *Fetal Position. Our backs are built “funny.” For many people the only way they can relieve the pressure on their lower backs is to get into a fetal position, with their knees bent and their upper bodies gently curled into them. The trouble with this position on a flat bed is that you can only do this position on your side. Too much body weight falling on your side contributes to discomfort and constant tossing and turning. With an Electropedic® Bed you can elevate your back and your legs into a fetal position with the whole back of your body equally supporting your body weight. *Relieve The Strain. Every time you elevate your back or your legs, you are gently realigning your vertebrae and changing the pressures they exert on your delicate nerves. Sometimes just an inch in either direction can make a significant difference. You can “relieve the strain that creates the pain.” *Flat Back. A position that is recommended as actual therapy for your back is with your legs elevated, knees bent and your back completely flat. This position creates a pelvic tilt, puts reverse pressure on your lower back and helps build the strength of your lower back muscles. *Stretch-Back Exercise. As we get older, our vertebrae get closer and closer together. As we stand and walk, our vertebrae are forced still closer. If you have chronic back pain, the stretch-back exercise works like traction. Start flat, and together elevate your back and your legs all the way up and then all the way down. You’ll feel a complete stretch along your entire back. You’ll feel a gentle pull between each vertabrae. Feels great!

BREATHING. The higher your back, the less pressure put on your ribs. This gives your lungs more room, making breathing easier.

CIRCULATION. An Electropedic® Beds allows gravity to assist your circulation when you elevate your legs above your heart. This is specifically recommended for varicose veins, swelling of the legs and muscle cramps. Varicose vein sufferers are advised to elevate their legs above their heart level to allow gravity to assist rather than fight the flow back to the heart.

HEART. Elevating your back allows gravity to assist your heart muscles.

HIATAL HERNIA. An Electropedic® Bed allows hiatal hernia sufferers to elevate their back and gently elevate their legs, if they wish, for comfort. Hiatal hernia sufferers sometimes wonder how they ever made it through the night without an Electropedic® Bed.

HIPS. On a flat bed your body weight is always heavily concentrated on your hips. On an Electropedic® Bed, when you elevate both your back and your legs a minimum of four inches, your whole body weight is being evenly supported.

GETTING OUT OF BED. The only problem with an Electropedic® Bed is that people don’t want to get out of them in the morning. May we recommend elevating your back to an almost complete sitting position. You’ll find getting out of bed extremely easy, without pressure on your lower back.

NECK, SHOULDERS. The higher your back, the less pressure put on your neck and shoulders.

RELAXATION, EXHAUSTION. You don’t have to have a circulatory problem to want to elevate your legs when you are very tired or have worked too hard. Elevate your legs all the way up.
