A 3-wheel scooter turns tighter and gives more legroom, so it suits homes, stores and other indoor spaces. A 4-wheel scooter is more stable on slopes, curbs, grass and uneven sidewalks, so it suits outdoor riding and anyone concerned about balance. Pride's EZ Turn and Golden's MicroTurn technologies now give many 4-wheel models nearly the turning radius of a 3-wheel.

Answer these five questions before you buy, and the right scooter usually becomes obvious. Our showroom staff in Burbank and Phoenix walk every customer through the same checklist.
Choose a scooter rated at least 50 lbs. above that number. Travel scooters run 300 to 400 lbs.; heavy-duty models like the Golden Eagle, Avenger, Companion HD and Pride Maxima reach 500 lbs.
Compact travel scooters cover roughly 7 to 12 miles per charge. Full-size and outdoor models cover 16 to 34 miles. Buy more range than you think you need.
Look at the heaviest piece. The Golden Buzzaround LT's heaviest piece is 28 lbs., and the Pride Go Go Carbon weighs 35 lbs. total. Folding models skip disassembly entirely.
Indoors and in stores, a 3-wheel or a MicroTurn/EZ Turn 4-wheel scooter is easiest to steer. Outdoors, on grass or slopes, a 4-wheel full-size or heavy-duty scooter is safer and smoother.
Choose a model with an airline-friendly lithium battery, such as the Golden Buzzaround CarryOn or CarryOn HD, or the Pride Go Go Carbon, and confirm battery rules with your airline before you book.
Electropedic has been a family business since 1964, now in its third generation. Here is what you can expect when you buy a scooter from us.
Factory-direct buying power means our everyday prices sit well below MSRP. Call 800-727-1954 before you buy anywhere, and we will work to beat any advertised price on the same model.
We carry only Pride Mobility and Golden Technologies, two American, family-run manufacturers whose scooters are FDA Class II medical devices (except the recreational Pride i-Go). Every scooter is checked and set up by our own technicians before it leaves the store.
Every new scooter carries its full manufacturer warranty, and we handle warranty claims for you in our own service department, so there is no shipping a scooter back to a factory. Ask about our low-price guarantee when you call.
Local delivery, set-up and instruction across Southern California and Arizona, with repairs, batteries and parts at both showrooms. We have been taking care of the same families since 1964.
The best way to choose a scooter is to sit on one. Both of our showrooms keep 3-wheel and 4-wheel scooters on the floor and ready to test-drive.

Heavier riders should look at 400 to 500 lb. models such as the Golden Companion or Pride Maxima.
3-wheel scooters turn tighter and offer more legroom, which suits indoor use. 4-wheel scooters are more stable outdoors, on slopes and on uneven ground.
