COMPREHENSIVE BUYER'S GUIDE FOR THE CLOUD LIFT CHAIR RECLINER BY GOLDEN

The Golden Technologies CLOUD PR510 is a two-zone MaxiComfort® power lift recliner with an adjustable three-pillow waterfall back, chaise seating, a pocketed-coil seat and a 400 lb user weight capacity. Golden currently offers it in Small, Medium and Large sizes with published MSRP from $2,479 to $2,579.

GOLDEN CLOUD PR510 LIFT CHAIR RECLINER BUYER'S GUIDE

The CLOUD is one of Golden Technologies’ established MaxiComfort lift recliners. Its defining seating feature is an adjustable three-pillow waterfall back, which lets the user shape the back cushions for personalized support. Golden combines that back style with its patented MaxiComfort positioning system, an extra-wide chaise pad for lower-leg support and a pocketed-coil seat.

Golden identifies the PR510 as a Class II medical device intended to help a mobility-impaired user rise, sit and recline. The lift function is valuable, but a buyer should still choose by fit: seat width, depth, floor-to-seat height and back height all influence comfort and transfer safety.

WHERE CAN I BUY A GOLDEN CLOUD LIFT CHAIR?

Electropedic offers local showroom assistance from Burbank, California and Phoenix, Arizona. For availability, delivery, set-up, service, rental inventory or used Golden lift chair availability, call 800-551-2010. The Burbank showroom serves Los Angeles and surrounding communities; the Phoenix showroom serves the Phoenix metropolitan area and Arizona customers.

HOW MUCH DOES A GOLDEN CLOUD PR510 COST?

CLOUD sizeModelGolden MSRP
SmallPR510-SMA$2,479
MediumPR510-MED$2,479
LargePR510-LAR$2,579

These are Golden Technologies’ currently published manufacturer prices. Dealer selling prices, optional upholstery, heat/massage, delivery, set-up, tax and other upgrades can change the final price. Call 800-551-2010 for a current local quote.

WHAT SIZES DOES THE GOLDEN CLOUD COME IN?

Golden currently lists the CLOUD in Small, Medium and Large, each with a 400 lb user weight capacity. The Small published specification is approximately 34 inches overall width, 41.5 inches overall height, 18.5 inches between the arms, 19.5 inches floor-to-seat and 19.5 inches seat depth. The Large is wider at approximately 38.5 inches overall. Because model dimensions vary by size, always match the chair to the actual user instead of choosing solely by the words “Small,” “Medium” or “Large.”

GOLDEN MAXICOMFORT ZERO GRAVITY POSITIONING

MaxiComfort is Golden’s patented powered positioning system. On the CLOUD it is a 2-Zone system, allowing a broad range of reclining positions and enabling the user to elevate the legs and adjust the back/body relationship beyond a basic one-position recliner. Golden associates MaxiComfort with its Zero Gravity positioning concept.

The CLOUD is not a Twilight Tilt model and it does not include an articulating power headrest or power lumbar system. Buyers who specifically want five-zone Twilight seat tilt, powered headrest and powered lumbar should compare the newer Golden Twilight models rather than assuming those functions are included with the PR510.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE GOLDEN LIFT CHAIR RECLINER

CLOUD fit checklist

Measure the user’s standing height, seated hip width, floor-to-knee height, seat-to-knee length and shoulder/head position while seated. Then check the chair’s seat width, seat depth and seat height. Golden lists approximately 21 inches of wall clearance for the published CLOUD specification, so room layout matters too. Measure doorways and hallways before delivery and leave safe space around the lift mechanism.

GOLDEN CLOUD COLORS, FABRICS & UPHOLSTERY

Golden currently lists the CLOUD’s standard Tucker fabric palette in Calypso, Camel, Hazelnut, Shiraz and Sterling. Upholstery availability can change, and some optional or upgraded fabrics can add cost. For a showroom purchase, compare actual swatches whenever possible because computer and phone screens do not reproduce upholstery color and texture perfectly.

GOLDEN CLOUD FEATURES, WARRANTY & SERVICE

Golden currently specifies a lifetime warranty on the chair frame/lift frame/recline mechanism, three years on electrical parts, three years on mechanical labor and one year on electrical labor, with prorated electrical coverage in years four through seven according to the current product information. The CLOUD also includes Golden’s SmartTek diagnostic system and a 9-volt battery backup arrangement.

Heat and vibrating massage is listed as an available option. The PR510 does not list Golden HeatWave, powered lumbar, powered articulating headrest, footrest extension or USB charging as standard CLOUD functions in the current specification.

USED GOLDEN CLOUD LIFT CHAIRS — WHAT TO CHECK

When evaluating a pre-owned CLOUD, confirm the model and size label first. Operate the chair through its complete lift and recline range, listen for unusual motor or linkage noises, inspect the hand control and power supply, verify the condition of the chaise and waterfall cushions, inspect upholstery seams and confirm what warranty—if any—is included with the used chair. A used chair can be an excellent value when it is correctly sized, tested and serviced.

USED GOLDEN LIFT CHAIR RECLINERS 1/2 OFF REGULAR PRICE

USED GOLDEN CLOUD LIFT CHAIR RECLINERS 1/2 OFF REG. PRICE: 800-551-2010. Used inventory is inherently variable, so call for the models, sizes, fabrics and conditions currently available. Ask whether local delivery, in-home set-up and service are available for your address.

GOLDEN CLOUD VS. GOLDEN CLOUD LIFT CHAIR RECLINERS

Golden’s Cloud Classic PR510 is another two-zone MaxiComfort lift recliner, but its seating feel is different: Golden describes it as using a custom bucket-seat design for comfort and support. Current Golden information lists Small/Medium, Medium/Large and Medium/Wide sizes. Published Cloud Classic MSRP currently ranges from $2,479 to $2,839, depending on configuration.

Golden also offers the Cloud+ PR511, a four-zone model available in Small, Medium, Medium/Wide and Large with published MSRP of $2,809–$3,119. For shoppers wanting Twilight Tilt, Golden’s current five-zone Cloud family extends into models such as the Cloud Supreme with Twilight. In other words, “Golden Cloud” now describes a family of chairs with different positioning systems, so always verify the exact PR model number before comparing price or features.
