THE 10 INCH is our most requested mattress, and the one we return to when someone asks us what a truly well-made bed feels like. Three separate three-inch layers of latex are set beneath hand-quilted cotton and wool on both sides, then finished with a zippered cover so the mattress can be opened, adjusted, and lived with for decades rather than replaced. Every core is available in Soft, Regular Firm, Extra Firm, or Ultra Firm, so the mattress is matched to you, not the other way around.
The rubber tree, Hevea brasiliensis, is native to the Amazon and has been tapped for its sap for generations. That sap becomes the latex foam at the heart of every mattress we build. THE 10 INCH uses three full layers of it, each three inches thick, in either Natural Talalay Latex or GOLS Certified Organic Latex.
Cotton and wool quilting, a half inch on each side, completes the mattress at a true ten inches. Because the cover zips open, the layers inside can be changed or reordered at any time — a mattress you adjust, rather than replace.

Support, not softness, is what determines whether you wake up rested. THE 10 INCH is offered in Soft, Regular Firm, Extra Firm, and Ultra Firm — and in GOLS Certified Organic Latex, a Super Firm is also available on request. Most people already know which end of that range they belong to; our showrooms exist so you can confirm it in person.
If the firmness needs to change once the mattress is home, our ten-day exchange makes that simple. With a zippered cover, the layers themselves can also be rearranged, so the mattress keeps adjusting to you long after delivery.
Talalay latex is produced by molding and freezing the foam through an eight-step process that gives it a more open, consistent structure than latex poured by hand — the result is a softer, more responsive core. Every Talalay core we sell is measured across nine separate points of firmness and labeled accordingly, and every GOLS Certified Organic core is produced from latex grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, verified to a minimum of ninety-five percent organic content.
Every core ships labeled with its own firmness rating, so what you feel in the showroom is exactly what arrives at home.
Every mattress and every latex core is made individually, by hand, in America — not pulled from a warehouse line.
THE 10 INCH is reversible and built to be used on both sides for two decades, backed by a twenty-year limited warranty.
If the firmness isn't right once you've slept on it, we'll exchange it within ten days for eighty-nine dollars.
