Our workroom · Your bedroom
We make the mattress, we sell the mattress, and we deliver the mattress. There is no wholesaler, no department store and no warehouse markup between our workroom and your bed — just the family that has been building sleep systems since 1964.
Because we build to order, we can build to you: your size, your height, your firmness. Queen and king can even be split, with a different feel on each side.

Three heights, each offered in four firmnesses. Every model is completely reversible, quilted on both sides, finished with a zippered cover and handles, and made to flex beautifully on an adjustable bed.

Fitted, not guessed
The firmest mattress isn't automatically the best one. The right mattress gives your shoulders and hips enough give and your lower back enough support. Every core is individually rated, so you get exactly the feel you chose — and if it isn't right, our $89 ten-day exchange makes it right.

The Latexpedic material story
Latex begins as sap from the Hevea brasiliensis rubber tree. What we do with it — and what we refuse to put around it — is what makes a Latexpedic.
Natural Talalay latex in a breathable, pressure-relieving core — no springs to wear out, no polyurethane comfort foam. Talalay breathes and regulates temperature, and resists mold, mildew and dust mites.
Natural mattresses
Certified organic latex, cotton and wool — GOLS and GOTS certified materials, no chemical fire retardants. We certify the whole mattress, not just a thin comfort layer on top. Made in the USA.
Organic mattresses
100% pure Talalay latex made through the eight-step Talalay process — the most consistent, most breathable latex made. Rated first for pressure relief, resiliency, back support and durability.

Craft you can unzip
Open a Latexpedic and you'll find exactly what we promised: solid layers of pincore latex, nothing hidden, nothing glued in place. The zippered cover lets you see it, change a layer, or adjust a firmness years from now.
That's also why it lasts. Latex holds its shape and its feel far longer than conventional foam, and a two-sided mattress spreads its wear across both faces.

Latexpedic began as the mattress for Electropedic adjustable beds. Latex bends with the base and springs back when it lowers — which is why it soon became nine out of ten of our adjustable-bed sales.
Every Latexpedic is compatible with every base we carry, from lifestyle power bases with massage and zero gravity to fully electric hi-low systems.

Three generations · One family
It began in 1964, when Henry Kraus founded Electropedic Adjustable Beds in Los Angeles. In 1987, on vacation in Europe, he stayed at a small hotel in the Swiss Alps and woke up rested and free of his usual backache — so he stayed another night to be sure.
The mattress was latex, common in Europe and almost unknown in America. Within a year he was building his own. Today the Kraus family still makes every Latexpedic by hand, and still believes the most important test of a mattress is how you feel in the morning.
